Program Structure

Work-Study USA program allows international students legally work off-campus with American companies while pursuing their masters degree in a fully accredited US university.

Immigration Service regulations allow international graduate students who are enrolled in Work-Study USA program to work in internship positions. Through the work-study program, international student may work up to 40+ hours per week for as many months as the duration of the program allows. Specially approved by US immigration regulation, our schools with work-study USA program are allowed to issue work permits for full-time off-campus employment from the beginning of the graduate studies.

Unlike other CPT programs in the United States, international students in our Work-Study USA program are NOT required to wait a full academic year before working.

This Work-Study USA program is designed to give students practical work experience in curriculum-related employment with local US based corporations and businesses. For those who select this option, paid internship employment is mandatory, beginning in the first semester of the first academic year of the student's program.

Along with the mandatory internship employment, Work-Study students will need to take a total of 12 to 15 graduate courses, depending on the enrolled work-study program. Most of our students study in the evenings or weekends while work at day time with local corporation and businesses. As you can see, work-study USA program combines studying with working, which is specially suitable for adult students.

We will assist our students at Work-Study USA program in all aspects of off-campus employment which will provide the students with the maximum income possible, considering the skills and abilities of each person.

Examples of potential incomes for students working full time (160 hours per month) at Work-Study USA program are as follows

(a) At $10.00 per hour (minimum wage in California) a student would earn $1,600 per month (regular internship position)

(b) At $35 per hour a student would earn $5,600 per month  (Oracle Project for MBA and IT students).

(c) At $60 per hour a student would earn $9,600 per month  (SAS, DBA).

The earning can be kept by the work-study students and used for the tuition and living cost in the US. This program has helped thousands of international students reach their educational and professional goals in the USA.
